Good Vibes, Good Food, Good Friends

Something about seeing a friend which you haven't seen in a long time reminds me of two old lovers coming together. The chemistry will always be there and so will the love. I had the pleasure of seeing my friend Moaze who i haven't seen in forever this past weekend. Although he was late and always is, I can never stay mad at him. What's strange is we don't live far away from each other we are just super busy. I took him to my favorite Thai place called {VIvi} on Park. It is worth a pop in if you are visiting or just in the city.

Recent Buys/Winter Stapes (Credit Card is crying)

My winter staples, consist of boots I had no buying, but let me tell you, for a person of my height these boots reach my thigh. These are the Aldos over the knee boots that are perfect for any occasion and that are so coming with me to London. Next on my list is the express trench coat. I've been looking for a trench coat one stylish, looks expensive but is affordable. Express did not let me down with this one. The camel color is beautiful, sadly this baby is not coming with me to London but look forward to it in the future. Turtlenecks, Crewnecks I brought 2 in white, blush, and maroon. Needless to say I will be warm in London. The little black dress. I have about 5 different black dresses. No, they are not all the same! The Basic cardigan, I also have about 10 of these different colors of course but you never know.

Over The Years....

Merry Christmas everyone! I just got in from mass, its about 3am here in NY and I just had some late night thoughts to share. Over the years I've noticed that my family doesn't really celebrate Christmas. We go to mass, then head to bed, no tree, no gift, no warm feelings. This year I went to church with a good friend of mine because my mom had work and It felt really good, (as a religious person) to just be surrounded by love and positivity. We headed over to her house to open her family gifts and that's where things went down hill. Personally, when I look at other families exchanging gifts and spending time with each other I always get extremely sad. My family doesn't do these things, and I want that. I'm so sad guys and I know this is different from a fashion post, but I wanted to share this. It's hard to talk to my friends sometimes because they are dealing with their own emotions and I always have to be the strongest one in the group. I'm just so tired of being strong. Cherish your family, this day is not about gifts but knowing you have people to open presents with.

But First Coffee....

So.... The tickets for London are in. Guys! Do you know how exciting that is. Like I think that I have never been more excited to travel than now. I'm Actually wearing one of the outfits I plan to take to London. Recently Turtlenecks are my go to item, It the most effortless item I've ever put on. Turtleneck some jeans and chunky heels, and it's time to go. I'm actually not a big coffee drinker, I'm more of an Earl Gray with some half and half thrown in there. Getting a bit crazy with my tea there.

Let it be

If this what it means to be an adult, I would like to return this purchase. I felt quite helpless today, for many reasons, for many things. A lot which I cannot control. It's hard when you give advice and it's not received well. It's harder when you want something so bad, but it's not ready for you. Sometimes I wonder if I'm too fast paced for this life.

Office?

What is Office attire? Where I work you can wear whatever you want, however I'm old. Well, not old, but in a place where I feel like leggings do not belong in the workplace. I'm currently looking into starting PR/Marketing jobs, but I don't know where to look. Guys, it's been a shitty weekend so yeah....

Kaleidoscope

That moment when its 1am and you have work the next morning, your house is 1 hour away and you don't give two fucks because you got a free drink. The life of a grad student running away from responsibility. I'll keep this short, not much to talk about unless you're interested in my paper for my modern french history class. Then by all means do let me know and I'll write my thesis here next time. The most important outfit detail is my H&M coat, got this pastel beauty in the summer and France better get ready for its debut.

Stuck in Between

It's funny how New York I stuck in between summer and fall. As the weather begins to catch up with us, we are in that awkward stage of shorts in the daytime heat and a sweater for the night's chill. I still never understood why it is crazy hot in the daytime, then turns into desert chilliness at night. Maybe it's just New York. Thus, for this look I snatched my good friend Bria to show you guys how weather confused we really are. I have on a Forever 21 turtleneck crop top, American Eagle Jeans, Call it spring slip-ons and my H&M gold chains. Bria is a poster child for Urban Outfitters, thus you can find everything she is wearing there. In a weird way this post is new for me since I am also stuck in between comfortable and not. As long as I have known fashion only fit girls are allowed to wear crop-tops thus at many times I find myself shielding my belly and throwing over my new favorite H&M parka. Mindset changes and people grow, as Autumn comes upon us, the crop-top season will soon end. 3 more months till London guys.
